Not happy! I bought a multi-pack of workshops. When I called to book my last one, Ken said I had scheduled a workshop and not shown up for it, therefore losing my credit. I had been out of town for a couple of months and knew I had not scheduled a workshop while I was away! When I emailed him to ask when it supposedly was so I could figure out what happened, he never responded. I think there are many better and more reputable places for workshops. Don't risk your money.

SCAM! SCAM!Beside being a stalker and sending me 7 emails the same day (i'm not exaggerating)about my look and my resume that he studied very intensely, he is very dishonest. I had to cancel a workshop which i did 15 days prior, and according to his policy I should 've had my money back and didn't. He refused to give my money back. He stop emailing me and responding to my email when i asked for reimbursement. Stay away...

WORST place ever! This guy claims to be a Christian and if he finds out you are, you are put on a "special" list to receive all sorts of scams of guys who will pray for you for money. He also sends videos and long emails about how to get into heaven by doing good works. We paid for workshops ahead of time with his "special rates". He then, steals your money by saying that you used the money in your bank up already. Not a Christian, he's a scam artist. Stay far away!

I went here based on a friend's referral and I have to admit, it's a bad imitation of the other workshop studio I go to. They literally copied everything they do. Oh well, I tried them out.

House of Actors is an amazing place. This is the only CD workshop place that I know of where you can actually have an opportunity to be a 'reader' in the room with the Casting Director (normally only staff at workshop places have that opportunity). One of the many things that separate them is the fact that you chose your own scene to do for the casting directors, so you are as prepared as you would be for a 'real' audition, you are not just handed some script that doesn't fit your type and expected to give a blow away performance after only having the material 10 minutes. This way you also are in control of how you want to be portrayed. And the evaluation sheets you get back from the Casting directors are also very helpful in feedback in reinforcing if what you are doing is truly working for you. I wouldn't go any where else!

House of Actors is a wonderful way to build relationships with casting directors or at least get in front of them. The nice thing is you bring material you want to show off and get the people who get you in the room to give you constructive feedback. Everyone I've met at the House of Actors is supportive and friendly. I'm so thankful a friend told me about this place!

I highly recommend House of Actors. My daughter has taken several workshops there. She is 14 years old and they were wonderful with her. They made her feel so welcome. Their format is great. You get one on one time with the CD as well as the opportunity to run the sheets in and out which provides even more time with them. Of all the CD workshops she has done she says this is definitely the best place in town!!

We've been going to House of Actors for the better part of a year and we are consistently impressed with how they run the casting workshops. It's both very professional and caring. We feel like a part of a family! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. My son had to take my daughter once and was blown away by the genuine warmth of the people there. The feedback from the casting directors is so helpful. My daughter has grown in confidence and has gone straight to producers as a result of reading for a CD at HOA. She's much better prepared for her auditions as a result of the workshops. Be sure to check HOA out!

The House of Actors is a wonderful place. The place provides a warm, friendly comfortable environment for actors. Ken goes out of his way to make sure actors get the most of meeting with casting directors. He makes sure that you have all the tools you needs and provides positive reinforcement for individuals. Tanalee does a spectacular job at having snack (craft services) for you if you feel the need to have a quick bit to eat. As stated before the environment is very warm and you not only feel welcomed but you feel like you're part a supportive family.

Not only is House of Actors one of the warmest, most welcoming places you can step foot in... but their method is fantastic! You get a chance to read scenes with other actors- which completely builds your confidence. And if you are called in by a casting director to audition, you get a free workshop!! Ken- the founder and man that runs the place... is PASSIONATE about the actors success. He goes out of his way to help everyone in any way he can. This place really can't be compared to other workshops. Once you come- you're part of a family:)

I have to admit that I am somewhat torn on the issue of CD workshops - blog post here: http://wp.me/pDW7W-nX - but I will say that I have attended a number of workshops at House of Actors and was blown away. Ken (the owner) clearly cares about actors and does more than most any other workshop place I've been to really help actors build relationships with casting directors. It's a great environment and I was consistently impressed at the level of talent. If you choose to do workshops, this is definitely the place to go.
